MANUFACTURING PROCESS (HOT ROLLED SMLS PIPE)

To ensure product quality, the manufacturers are equipped with advanced production lines from raw material (Iron & Steel Making) to finished pipes.

STEEL MAKING

Steel making shall be by the Basic Electric arc Furnace with double deslagging or Basic Oxygen Furnace steel making processes. Steel shall be fully killed and manufactured to fine grain practice. For carbon steel pipes to be used in the construction of onshore or underwater pipelines, for crude oil, gas, multiphase or condensate effluents, operating in “Mild sour service”, “Intermediate Sour Service” or “Severe Sour Service” (i.e. corresponding respectively to areas 1, 2 and 3), the steel making process used shall result in the supply of steel pipes with a high resistance to H2S embrittlement and associated effects.

ROLLING MILL Piercing Process

The piercing process is at the top of the process chain, which starts with solid steel billet and ends with the seamless tube. It is of crucial importance for the subsequent quality of the finished tube: the billet must demonstrate excellent surface and tolerance characteristics straight after piercing. Only then is it possible to produce high-quality tubes with flawless surfaces and high dimensional accuracy.

OFFSHORE STRUCTURAL TUBULARS

One of the main problems of modern times is ensuring world energy supplies. Crude oil and gas production from deep sea and Arctic regions is an important contribution toward solving the problem. But as the production sites become more and more remote, the climatic conditions in which rigs and platforms have to operate become increasingly tougher.

The constructions required in such case have to be of steel grades which can stand up to the most aggressive environments. As the unique agent of TPCO’s Offshore Engineering Pipes & Tubes, TSSP and TPCO jointly developed the high grade seamless offshore structural tubular (eg.  Jack-up rig leg pipes) up to NV E690/API X100Q Grade.

High Strength Steel Tubes for Crane Sector

TSSP is able to provide seamless tubes in quench and temper condition with tensile strength higher than 1000 MPa having excellent toughness at low temperatures. Additionally, in spite of their greater strength, these materials have an excellent weldability, due to an optimized steel design and manufacturing process.

HYDROCARBON PROCESSING

TSSP provides a wide range of seamless steel tubes and pipes for refineries, petrochemical and gas-processing plants. The company’s dedicated teams work in each project phase to ensure high-quality performance as regards delivery, reliable products and services through consistent manufacturing and supply chain processes.

TSSP supplies tubes in carbon, low-alloy and high-alloy steels in a wide dimensional range with an outer diameter ranging from 60.3 mm to 711 mm and wall thicknesses from 4.5 mm to 60 mm.

Our products offer a superior and reliable performance. They are manufactured according to different international standards such as API, ASTM, EN, DIN, GOST, GB, NACE, EFC and others, or are produced on the basis of customer specifications for demanding environments where high pressures, high temperatures and corrosive fluids are present.
